What can I say, after another early start the both of us were whipped over to the port to take a boat to Ko Phi Phi (inside Hat Noppharat Thara national park) for our final dive. Our boat stopped at Phi Phi Leh (where "The Beach" was filmed) for my final qualified dive. Shortly after a break for lunch, Lucy completed hers at one of the small islands nearby. We can almost say that we went swimming with a shark, as we both spotted a Leopard shark basking on the bottom of the reef :)
It took about 2.5 hours to get to Phi Phi and another 2.5 to get back, so we've spent the whole day on our Padi. Good news is that we both now have Padi qualification so theoretically can go diving anywhere in the world down to 18m.
As we've both got the diving bug, we're planning to go to (possibly) Koh Tao on the east coast.
Anyway, that's all from me for now......
over to Lucy!

Lucy's entry:

I had one more skill to complete today (taking my mask off and on in open water) which i managed ok in the end. I had a lot more practice at clearing my mask as it seemed to let in water throughout the dive. But that was fine.
Feeling a lot more comfortable in the water now, especially as the last dive we went down to 18m. We also saw moray eels and lots of colourful fish but the visibility wasn't as good as yesterday (on Racha Yai island).
We've another (is this supposed to be a relaxing holiday!?) early start tomorrow - we're being picked up from the guesthouse at 7 o'clock in the morning and heading to Ko Lanta by boat (via Ko Phi Phi Don - unfortunately they couldn't drop us off today). So that's it, more from Ko Lanta ...
