Even on the first day we found a run with some powder snow on it - it was a bizarre experience - the oh no its a pile of snow and then poof you ski straight through it! After that we hunted down some more and had some fun - anything too deep was too hard for my skiing but Rosemary was looking like a pro! We had some days when it snowed all day - not windy so it wasn't an issue, a couple of mornings of clear skies so we could see the alps, one really cold day (-10), another day when it snowed 50cm overnight - that made for some nice skiing!
Our B&B was in a great location - a short walk from the shuttle bus to the ski slopes and it was only a 10min walk to walk home if we didn't take the bus. It had a bar underneath so that provided a convenient place for a game of pool and a drink (and some new year celebrations) - some Japanese style restaurants nearby but it was generally in a fairly quiet area.
