Hello Again,

So who here has been to Niagra Falls.  I personally have now, so you guys will have to tell me how this place compares.  I personally think it kicks our NY butts.  But what do I know.

So today I am off the the Brazil side of the falls.  We make some new friends on the ride there, Sally and Ben.  We spend most of the day walking around the different viewing areas and being amazed by the falls.  First thing in the morning we take a zodiac ride up the river through a couple of rapids.  I know, I am still playing in white water.  But this was different, they were small and we were in a 450 HP motor boat.  It was fun.  So we go up the river to get a closer, more personal look at these falls and then they drive us under one.  Only the first two rows actually went under the falls, the rest of the people just got spray.  But guess where I was sitting.  Of course, second row.  Yeah baby, another nice cold shower for me.  Whooooho!!!!  Don`t worry about me, it is hot here and my clothes dry really fast anyway.  So we get a view of most of the several hundred falls on the other side of the river and they look magnificent.  We also check out the new viewing tower which just opened recently.  We get a high up view of the Devil`s Throat.  This water fall is huge.  I wonder if you can go over it on a raft like I did in New Zealand.  I will look into that tomorrow, since Argentina owns that part of the falls.  Tomorrow we will get a closer look when we go to the Argentina side.

After we finished the falls we stopped at the Bird Park.  All of us thought it was going to be this small little think, but it was not.  It took us 3 hours to go through it and we missed the last free bus back to the hostel at 6 PM.  We got out of the park at 7 PM.  Oops.  No worries mate.  We take a cab back to the hostel.  But it was worrth it.  We got to see toucans and parrots and all sorts of other native birds.  We also played with this kiwi looking bird.  The bird used its long beak to `groom` Ben and I on our arms.  It also stucks its beak in my pocket to see what was in it.  I think it was a female bird because it bit Danielle twice.  Not hard, but it was letting the competition know who was in charge.  The bird did like Ben and I though.  Ha ha, Danielle got bit and I did not.  Tee hee.

And once again, the day does not end with just a full day of activities.  As we are heading to dinner a couple of Brazilian college students come up to us and invite us to have drinks and dinner with them.  So after our dinner with Ben and Sally we go to see what this party is all about.  Well, they are all college students here to see the hydro'electric dam as part of a class trip.  We party with them until the wee hours of the morning.  They are having a great time getting to practice there English and teach us all the bad words and phrases in Portuguese.  It is quite interesting how they explained some of the sayings also.  At one point Sally has the brilliant idea to get a shot of us mooning the camera, and she was going to do it too.  Well after the picture was taken, guess who`s bum was not exposed.  Shame on you Sally.  That picture will be shown only during private viewings, sorry.

So this was another action packed day of sightseeing and partying all night.  Tomorrow Danielle and I are moving to Argentina for a couple of days to see the other, more impressive, side of the falls and spend a couple of days in northeast Argentina.  This is kind of an unexpected side trip, just because we can.  It should be fun.

See you all in another country,
Greg

ps...I am working on getting pictures up without having the deal with viruses, so hopefully I will have pictures flowing again shortly.  I also have a couple of awesome videos for you guys as well, but they take a long time to upload.
