Hello Family/Friends
Thanks for visiting...
This is just a bare-bones outline of my soon-to-commence trip round the world. Sounded like a good idea some months ago - and now it sounds like a great idea! Some expense was incurred in getting this far, but it's only money after all.
I've got a year-valid ticket, and some spending pennies to do me for 6 months at least, as I attempt to understand why I currently do not enjoy working at a PC in a subterranean office, with bars on the windows and no sunlight! Can you guess?
I'm not sure who I've told about this trip, as I kept it quite quiet in case I bottled it (which was likely, as those of you whom listened to the "I'm going to London" chat will attest) arf. Anyway, after some interviews and some job offers, I decided that I didn't want to do the same stuff at a different desk for a few more thousand, so I'm going to have a think about what might be an interesting way to make a living. I might come back and have the travel-bug out my system and be happy to settle in behind a desk again, so it's not totally out of the question. Who can say.
Anyway, check out the rough route I've mapped out in the next couple of entries and drool with jealousy! What's stopping you doing it??
