I went to Utrecht last weekend. Utrecht is a city in the Netherlands that takes about 30 minutes by train from Leiden. (btw, I'm loving the train system here - why doesn't california and every else in the US have such great public transportation??). Utrecht reminded me of a larger Leiden. They have a University & canals & more people than Leiden. We, for the most part, just walked around. It was a beautiful day. I also a got a sandwich from a restaurant which reminded me of the Morty's Chicken BLT, which made me very happy (I missi Morty's). We did do one thing, which I found very cool - we climbed Domtoren Tower, a very old bell tower that used to be connected a church. It's about 7 euros and you get a tour of it, but you have to be willing to climb about 500 very scary stairs. This was harder than I thought it was going to be! The view at the top is worth it though!
