Day 6: Giving up the trip through Bolivia

- as stubborn people we are we wanted to give another try to our trip through Bolivia. We really wanted to go south in Bolivia to see the national parks and try to look for a real mennonite community close to Santa Cruz. So we woke up early and went directly to the airport as someone had said us that they might have some places available for last minute travellers. We went there but had no luck. Then we tried once again the bus station but they had buses leaving only to northern regions, and those would take at least 1 1/2 day to reach their destination! At that point we just gave up the idea of travelling in Bolivia and went back to Brazil (a cab to Guayaramerin, then crossed the river to Brazil then took a cab to Porto Velho). We reached Porto Velho by 18:00 and tried to get on the next flight southward. Unfortunately there were none so we got to a crappy hotel close to the bus tation and spent the night in Porto Velho.
