After leaving Baños i headed off to Riobamba to get the train ride down the Nariz del Diablo. Whilst i was hanging around in the town getting the worst hair cut i have had in a long time i got saw another random parade with Ecuadorian dancing and stuff. This is the fourth parade i have come across by accident, maybe i´m just lucky. Unfortunately when i found the train station it was falling to pieces, well, being demolished. Although there was some guy claiming to be selling tickets for the train standing in the doorway of the station, i bought a ticket and the next morning found out that you have to take a bus to Alausi for the last hour of the train ride. The train was certainly old and knackered. In fact one of the sleepers underneath the tracks when the train when over it and some random guy´s wedged some wood and rocks under the train for a bit. We got there in the end i guess. That is another thing off the list of things to do, ride on the roof of a train that is. Next i´m on the hunt for the elusive Cuy, i´m seen some roasting on the side of the road from a bus and some live ones on the roof of a bus but never on a menu. It might have to wait for Peru.
