Visited to Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, a company that funds innovation in Germany. Pretty interesting, but it was too hot there. The rest of the day was better.
The city of Strasbourg was huge, and had lots of culture to see. There were marching bands down the main street, and a huge castle. There were hills in teh background that looked great. It was a sunny day, great for exploring.
Had lunch at a mexican restaurant, much to Sam's delight. Had teh best steak ever, a stonegrill. I was a huge fan.
At this point I was starting to feel a touch unhealthy lol. I'd been getting into the German beer and food, and not exercising as much as I was when I was doing Germany and Berlin outside of the big group. I was reminded of Milena when she visited Australia and got bigger lol, gah.
Simba was getting great at Aussie slang, regularly using "no worries" and "she'll be right". He was still struggling with "bugger". At the same time he was picking up some Spanish, too. Not too shabby.
The afternoon was the Mercedes Benz museum, and it started to rain just as we got there. No worries, it's all inside. The museum is huge, and even the building is interesting. The tourguide was hilarious, and we had little earpieces so we didn't have to be too close to him. He asked us where we were all from, and he gave me shit about Australia. He even made a subtle Nazi-themed joke (the Germans didn't even pick it up), then had a chuckle and said he loves black humour. I was a huge fan.
I got the best photo on Alice's camera, me sitting in a Finnish F1 car surrounded by the Finnish girls. I need a copy of that one!
Went home on the train, but had to stand because it was so crowded. There were some Spaniards from outside the group that were rude about not standing. The Spanish Power was not with them. In the end we found spots to snooze.
We had a dinner at a cool beer garden back in Mannheim. Michi was the tourguide and took us there. I had yet another kind of beer I hadn't tried before, and Sam and I decided icecream for dinner was a good idea lol.
Ida, being the party animal she was, was keen to go out again. Her and I were the only ones who were keen, and we managed to rope Carson in too. Some of the others had a dooner kebap and went home, but we went to a sheesha bar. It was relaxed and cool, I was a huge fan. Got home at about 3am, but sober so we slept well.
