I'm halfway back, can't wait to get in to Australia. Sat next to a Ukrainian guy on the plane on the way over. He was huge and smelt a bit, so I expected the worst leg of the trip ever.
He spoke only a tiny bit of english, but we tried to have a conversation anyway. He works on a ship that catches sharks, and stays on it for 6 months at a time. He gets paid $1200US per month, gah. Really friendly tho, he accidentally showed me a topless picture of his wife (or his daughter, not sure which it was... and after Borat who knows) and we had a laugh. He kept checking out the air hostessess and nudging me when we were onto a hot one lol. I told him what I'm up to, not sure how much he got but it didn't matter. I showed him a few photos of my trip. He gave me some Ukrainian money, which was surprisingly dirty, but it was really nice all the same. Later on we were given the customs papers, and he was having trouble so I did his for him. He was very thankful.
On this trip, it's been like playing a whole heap of charades for a month. It's been fun, but I'm looking forward to getting back to Australia where you don't need to act out your sentences :P
