Marcus has made a full recovery and re-joined the ride - great stuff! His left ear is still a bit sore and very itchy (along with a few other places), but he was in fine form, singing along the way and making wise-cracks in 'pidgeon' french.
I was wearing the white jersey today - yes, I was a good boy yesterday, and kept to the left!
The ride today was at a more leisurely pace through rolling countryside, with green and yellow crops (wheat and canola) in varying condition. It hasn't rained for a while, so they need some badly in the next week or two. We prayed with the local congregation in Leeton last night for finishing rains to come.
We enjoyed the number of small hills, which changes the pace from the constant grind on the flat. The places where we stopped for morning tea and lunch were on hilltops, which provided a nice panorama of the farms around us.
We finished the 133km ride in Temora by about 2pm, which is a sizable rural town.
We are staying at the Anglican Church hall and will be eating at the local RSL Club tonight.
Tomorrow's ride is only 81kms to Young, but there will be a few more hills! Looking forward to it.

Final few days
Hi Mark,
Sorry to hear about the bee sting but glad you didn't miss too much cycling. I remember passing through Hay with your parents in 1971.
Just a few more days & you will be in Sydney & it will all be over. I am sure you will think longingly of it when you are back at work. Congratulations to you & the whole team, a wonderful effort, it has been great following your trip day by day.
Trust you will all finish safely.
Regards, Rod, Ruth & John
Not long to go now!!!
Hey Dadio!
You got the white jersey! Woohoo-well done - good to hear that you are listening well and keeping left!
Poor Mark with the bee sting - hope it is all cleared up soon - isn't it always the way though - the people who are allergic are the ones who always seem to get stung!?!
Well, I hope you have good winds today :) have a great day!
Love Kat
