169kms today in just over 6 hours - an average of about 27kms/hour - not bad for a windy day!

Over the bridge crossing the Murray River just out of Mildura and we are in New South Wales - the fourth state in our journey.

We past through more marginal country, which varied between pastoral and some wheat farming - still pretty flat and dry looking.

The team rode well and we made good time - well done to Edna and Roger who led all day on their recumbent bikes.

Kevin got the white jersey for his efforts yesterday and continued to ride tail end charlie.

Although we arrived in Balranald by mid afternoon, we couldn't get access to the school hall to set up our beds etc until 8pm that evening. So we got showered and went and had a look at the town, which is quite small, and had a coffee and a pie! The town seemed to be signified by the green 'Southern Bell' frog, with little statues and posters here and there.

Then to the RSL Club for tea - chinese, which was a nice change.

No time to do my blog when we got back to the school - got organised for tomorrow and off to bed.
