Whatever I had said about how my digestive system is better able to take abuse than Erica's I officially take back, as I spent the morning hunched over with incredible stabbing pains in my gut. The official description in our Lonely Planet is Traveler’s Diarrhea; "…the passage of more than three watery bowel-actions within 24 hours, plus at least one other symptom such as fever, cramps, nausea, vomiting, or feeling generally unwell."  It’s locally known as Bali Belly and Erica had it in spades and we both suffered in bed staring at the fan above.

In the evening, I escaped our room and found a charming little internet café and had a tea.  I later brought Erica back for soup and a smoothie which was twice what she ate the day before.
