So if you skip back to the start of this travel blog, all the way back to Sevilla, you'll see me meet an American guy called Zachariah.  Well, jokes on him because now I'm in Colorado and I'm sleeping on his couch.

Zach is a very cool guy, and it's pretty sweet to be here.  He teaches high school kids who have 'behavourial problems', or as my Granny would say 'wee shits'.  These are juvenile delinquents who have a history of violence, abusive parents, drug problems... all that stuff.  Today he took me into his class to talk to them about Ireland and travelling and, as Zach put it, "Just tell them what it's like to be Irish."  I had no idea what he meant, but I tried my best.

It was actually a pretty cool day.  I felt like Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Minds.  Except not as hot.  Having escaped from school without getting shot or stabbed, we then drove up and around the Colorado Monument which was excellent.  It's like a mini Grand Canyon, with stunning views of  Grand Junction and the Colorado Plateau.  I'm really looking forward the the actual Grand Canyon now, Zach said it's much more impressive.

The next night Zach threw a wee party in my honour.  And yes, honour is spelt with a 'U'. He sent out a Facebook invite with the title "Come see a real life Irishman! You can touch him and everything!".  It was a good night, we sat around getting drunk, eating pizza and playing rude Scrabble. I still stand by my word "Taint".  It's the area bewtween your balls and your arse, so called because it 'taint your balls and it 'taint your arse.
