-Day 11
We are staying in Petra Hotel in caves. On our way into the hotel, there was a huge snow fall, uncommon to the area, and our bus had to be evacuated 8 at a time. It was quite the adventure. Thanks to our Lord, no one was hurt.
Leaving our hotel, we see a Bedouin town with free rent from govt. Gov't moved them out of caves in Petra.(Houses in rocks) It seems that people still inhabit PETRA.  They say it will be the Jewish hide out when the great tribulation comes for our world.
Petra was made with only hammer and chisel. It was not built but carved out of the stones. Stones have a variety of colors shades of reds, blues.
-1114 ad Crusaders inhabited caves. Then Saladin. 3 miles to enter and last mile up 700 steps leading to a monastery. Horses, camels, carriages and donkeys are available to carry you through  the city.

We pass by Aaron's burial site in the rocks.
Guadi-musa valley where the Israelites passes with Moses.
Treasury Building was built 1BC in Petra
60 percent is still hidden to be escavated.
People here spoke Aramaic
Greek influence, Queen of war Athena
Corinthian fruits can be seen on columns
Also on columns you can see Obadiah (eagles.)
They started from the top and worked down.

We will never forget the faces of the young girls selling jewelry there. They were fluent in English and so very cute and loving.

It was an awesome adventure!
