We flew out of Auckland...Arrived in LA and one of our first comments was how in the world do these toilets work.  Our van is OK, it's got a TV.  Our hosts were called Tom and Gayle.  They were nice, they liked cooking and I cooked date scones.  They cooked lots of interesting tasty food and gave us lots of good ideas.

They gave us the idea of going to the discovery science center which was really cool.  A bit like MOTAT but better.  They had the awesomist candy store called the candy baron.  If you look in the photos you will see me with a lollypop (everything IS bigger in America)
