This afternoon, Chi (my language partner) invited me and two of my classmates over to learn how to make guo tie - pot stickers. This was a real treat for two reasons. First, we love guo tie. Second, and most important, this was our first home-cooked meal in over two months. With no cooking facilities in the dorm, we eat out every single day, which just doesn't feel right. And although the street food on Bird Flu Alley is phenomenal, things like guo tie taste even better when made in the Chen family kitchen.
