Today's class field trip: Qixia Buddhist Temple, about 15 miles from Nanjing. Very beautiful, very serene, by far my favorite place we've visited in Jiangsu province...until the saccharine sound of Kenny G. was piped in through speakers hid in bushes throughout the gardens. I'm not one for acronyms, but WTF...who could meditate to Kenny G.?!
