Hi everyone! Non, Greg, and I(sorry the nn doesn't work on this conputer...so they are all n's) got to Cairo on the 14th. We are taking a delux tour which turned out to be a private tour...just the 3 of us. This is definately the way to go. We also stayed in the Grand Hyatt right on the banks of the Nile. The view was anazing. We visited the Cairo nuseun which houses all the arifacts and the nunnies roon. It also has the treasure of King Tut. Then we went to see the pyranids at Giza. The site is awesone but I forgot how pushy the sovenier people can be. Also everyone wants a "tip" to take a picture for you. The police are by far the worst for this. It takes away fron the experience a little. The only good thing is you can pay then to take you into off linits places or to let you take pictures. We also visited the sphinx. Then they took us to a papyrus museun (got one m to work) and a perfume shop. It was a pretty full day. That night we ate dinner with in egyptian fanily in their house. They were actually Christian but seen to be very strict. It was a good experience.
The following day we headed to Aswan to board our Nile cruise. No one told us the plane made a stop so we just got off when it stopped. They were looking for us for 20 ninutes because the plane couldn't go with bags and no passengers. They didn't find us until we were the only people standing around that didn't get luggage at the baggage claim...oops.
Anyway,we got back on the plane and flew to Aswan. We toured the Temple of Philae and the Nubian museum. THen we went back to the temple for a night light show. The cruise boat is pretty nice. 5 star in Egypt and the US are different standards but I can't conplain...we have a giant window in our roon and there is a pool on deck and the food is good. We stopped at Kom ombo temple yesterday and then sailed to Luxor. Today we toured the Valley of the kings, valley of the queens, the Temple of Hatchepsut, the worker village, and the collosi of memnon. Tonight we are going to a light show at Karnak temple. We still have 4 more days on the Nile and a lot more to see. Having a great time so far! This computer is really slow so the pictures will have to wait.

Enjoy,

D
