Coffs Coast Holiday Parks Park Beach
Two Days in Coffs Harbour
We drove from Port Macquairie to Coffs Harbour on Thursday 17th February 2011, stopping along the way at Nambucca Heads which was so beautiful and had amazing views. We then headed into the centre of Coffs Harbour and did a little wondering around the town, did our grocery shopping then headed to our campsite.
Early evening we went to the beach and swam in the inlet where the incoming tide allowed us to swim against the current without going anywhere, whilst dodging a few kite surfers enjoying the current and waves too.
The following day we headed to the Big Banana. This is an iconic attraction that started a craze around towns in Australia to bring in tourists, by building big things (Click here to see Australia's Big Things). Not only is it a banana plantation but also boasts rides, shops a cafe and of course learning about banana production.
We did the tour around the banana grounds, took photos with the famous Big Banana, went on the tobbogan ride loads of times, and as it was such a hot day it would have been rude not to have gone on the Big Slip, you must check out the photos and videos, such a fun day!
