Surprisingly great city, a real fun place and loads to do.  However the only 'high-brow' cultural thing we saw was the Grand Palace, which was lovely but seen too many temples to really appreciate it!  All very bright colours and everything caked in gold!

Then it was off to the Oriental Hotel (one of the best in the world) to meet our friends from the Trans-Mongolian trip.  Fantastic hotel, never seen anything like it and we were really surprised they let us in there!  The attention to detail is amazing. Our table was wobbly so the waiter came over and sorted it for us without us even asking!  Great evening spent catching up, drinking beer and searching for sleaze!  Fairly successful, found a 'lovely' Go Go bar but no ping pong balls in sight! We called it a night and headed back tired and weary after all the 'culture'!

Lazy day yesterday trailing around  the huge market.  Just about everything you can imagine for sale here, including the cutest puppies ever.  Dunc said no to buying even though the lady said she'd be happy to send the St Bernard puppy that I fell in love with back to England for me!  So I settled for a couple of souveniers and a lovely cowboy hat for Murf from one of the many dog clothes shops!  Bet he can't wait!

We set off with our friends again for another night of culture.  The evening started at the Thai Boxing, great fun but it looked extremely painful!  After a couple of hours we decided we needed sport of a different variety!  Thanks to Alan, we found that it was ping pong at Patpong!  We probably don't need to go into details, as it's just too sleazy, but never knew there were so many things you could do with drinking straws, toy trumpets, tomatoes, pens and of course ping pongs.  We escaped pretty quickly after and found a 'nice' bar to chill out in!

After seeing more things then our brain could understand, we're off to Koh Toa with Harry and Lara for 5 days of nothing but sea, sand, beer and friends! Another night train, which will be our last but one!
