We already told you about our local pub the Scary Canary, which is also the pub of Base (the youth hostel where I work)... Every Tuesday night it's the quiz night and yesterday was a special one because it was Halloween. We've been doing the quiz for 5 weeks now, we managed to finish 2nd and third once but never first. Just that you understand why we keep playing, the prize is up to $250 cash and free drinks!!!
All the team got dressed up for the event (except me because I had to work and didn't have time to buy anything) and unfortunately Caro was not with us that night because she had to work...
Anyway it was our last chance to win because most of the members of the team will be gone by the end of the week.
Just that you understand the kind of questions, here is an example of what we got last night: what is Samhainophobia the fear of ??? Anyone knows?!?!?
We were ready for it and we did it: WE WON!!! We did not win the $250 cash prize though because Paul wasn't able to answer the subsidiary question... but still we finished first and got the drinks! As you can imagine, we celebrated our victory ;-)
Then the night came to an end and it was time to go home, on the way out I stopped at the reception to say hi to Tristan the night guy, he is from Tasmania he is so funny.
Obviously we were a little drunk and god knows why I got in the lift with Paul...
Guess what happened?!?!?!?
We got stuck!!!
Yeh I know what you think, getting stuck in a lift with a guy... everybody's phantasm!
Sorry to disappoint you but nothing happened, we got stuck for an hour, we played some silly English games and that's it, nothing really exciting...
