This is NOT what we'll be doing with our group when we return to Utah next October.
We had our tour planning pretty much wrapped up, so decided to take a guides’ "play day" to explore a legendary trail in Zion National Park. Pat and Denise had climbed it years ago but it was a first for me. Denise was nursing a sore foot, so took the day off; she’s also the smartest one of this tour planning trio. Pat and I rose before dawn and headed for the trail head.
It was a completely off-the-charts hiking experience!! We will NOT, I repeat, NOT be doing this trail on our tour. All our trails in Zion are on the canyon floor. This was just for fun, I think. Any cholesterol buildup in our veins was completely pressure washed clean by the blood racing through our veins. I feel 10 years younger even though my hair color looks 10 years older!

I'm impressed. But Dan are you crazy - we need you in one piece.

Thanks Be To God. xox xox
Thanks Dan for the great pictures. That's the only way I would ever see that hike, even in my younger day! I loved our Southwest Parks trip in the 90's, even when we did walk on a HOT day......
Made it home in one piece, Margie. But it was worth it even if they had to put me together like Humpty Dumpty.
Hi Don and Joan - yup - we were thanking God too, both for the amazing experience and the safe return
Definitely not a hike we would take people on, Betty. Don't know if I'd even want my family up there with me. Awesome experience but a bit nerve-wracking if you were watching others you care about. SW Parks was a great experience, but this time we get to go a bit deeper into what I think was the best region of that trip. Great to hear from you!
