Scott rode the second of the five trains featured in the Colorado by Train adventure coming up later this September. This one - Georgetown Loop Railroad - links 1890s silver towns of Silver Plume and Georgetown. A fun ride, an excellent silver mine tour, and Georgetown is a delightful 1890's old West town with colorful Victorian-style homes.

Rarefied air was another theme of today's planning. Most of the day we were over 9000 feet above sea level. One of the passes we drove over on Interstate 70 was over 11,000 feet.
