Where I stayed
Giraffes!
Also White & Black Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Warthogs, Baboons, Buffalo, Zebras, Water Buck, Bush Buck, Flamingos around the salt lake
We took an amazing hike & had a gathering with the animals.
Transformations: We all became a little more humble walking with potential dangers in the park (although nothing like the National Parks to follow where walking is prohibited). We also became more aware of the life of an average African living in Tanzania. Basic necessities like heat (it's winter here) and of course fresh water are hard to come by. We saw community after community after community based around what looked like a mud hole to me. Tribe/community members would be gathered around their little hole or tiny pond filling their jugs with water. Little boys tended the herds of goats & cattle, sometimes as young looking as 4 or 5.
