Coming back from a 14h (supposed to be 12h..) bus trip from Pukhet I meet May for a day in Bangkok. May is heading a company and took the day off for me - nice!
She is amazing. Full of energy, ideas, positivism and attention, it made the day incredible.
Starting with a little boulangerie (ok, not so Thai, but after 14h of bus, a croissant and black coffee were most welcome!!), we then headed towards the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and an interesting talk on Buddhism, the Vimanmek teak house, then finishing the day with a foot massage before meeting up again with the Thai group for another yummy Thai restaurant.. Great stuff!! A big thanks to the lady!
I even had the time to buy some wine Thai for a wine tasting (I'm on duty, remember?) - interesting wines by the way.
When friends take you around it definitely gives a different perspective to the city/country than discovering it the backpacker's way.
