I was determined not to cry from the goodbyes this morning jut "bloody Phill" had me in tears! sad to say goodbye to such a gentleman! We will remember our time with Nicky & Phil with warm smiles and much fondness....
13:20 Well the romantic idea of romantic train travel through Europe has been exhausted. An expected 7 hour trip in a carriage with 2 women who have taken our window seats and refuse to move has just pissed me right off. Along with a 10km per hour average speed so far and non stop gabbing from said wenches is driving me mad ! Stay tuned as we have only been on the train for 30 minutes.
Locals are telling us as there is track work we must take a "bus" for part of the journey then back on a train to Zagreb. Just keeps coming up roses!!! lol
14:34. I think half hourly commentary would be excessive however I'm happy to report the speed has increased significantly and the countryside of Hungary is beautiful. Snow licked fields and rural communities now surrounded by the odd mountain. The wenches are still gabbing on between themselves but I learned a new skill from Nicky that has worked a few times.... The Glare ;)
18:22 and they still gabbing on. We have stopped at Gyekenyes, the last station in Hungary, for passport checks. Then we are in Croatia. It was a very intimidating experience! Very grumpy police, now we are going back toward Budapest only to come forward again! and running about 45 minutes late!
Have been chatting with a Hungarian uni student (fine arts major) named Gabor. He's a Bohemian style student. Shy. But curiously cute (sorry Chris but I'm getting stir crazy! Haha)
Still haven't changed to buses and we think the inspector said we have no need to.....

Phil on

Bus 3 to Bratislava was a better bet!
We have just arrived at airport it's pouring here , first for last 15 days. We hope it does not follow us back home.
So very pleased to have spent some very precious time with you both, we will keep an eye open on blog to see how it goes.
Phil and Nicky
PS breath on irritating wenches then at least in a few days you will have your revenge as they are laid low with German flu!
