I often wonder how a year can flash by so quickly.  Was it magic?  Was it really an actual year worth 365 days at 24 hours each?  It is a quandary worth pointing out.  I have taken numerous pictures trying to capture this year.  Hopefully, you will watch, comment, and give your own perspectives to this years trip!
This has been a banner year for personal changes.  Mimi and I became  an official family as of Oct29.  Her family is now mine and my family is now hers.  It is a sweet thing when this occurs.  We are sure that some are still pondering the idea of adopting us, but all seem to be well among the new family.   I have met almost everyone including Mimi's daughter Denise, and son-in-law John.  They live in Lakeville outside Minneapolis.  Their dogs Dana and Rhona are great fun.  Rhona loves a good scratch and Dana is a wild girl who loves every second of life.  Their two cats Troll and Kanga(Kanga jumps around like a kangaroo) are true cats!  After two Summers, Troll has now decided I am possibly an OK guy and was all over me during one of our last visits.  Mimi had twin boys in 1964 named Tim and Tom.  Tim and his wife Mary live just outside Minneapolis in a beautiful little town called Winsted close to Howard's Lake.  Tim is a computer dude who can quickly kill dead the nastiest of computer viruses and Mary can sell a refrigerator to a Eskimo-all without leaving Ebay!  Their daughter Ana is studying to be President. (A Republican)  (My idea) and Niko, their son, is learning to be the worlds greatest graphic artist(Say hello to the new digital Ansel Adams).  Mimi's son Tom lives in the Dallas area. We're hoping to get together in the coming year.
Between moving, marriage, great blessing, and minor mishaps, Mimi and I are actually seeing a gradual steady change in our schedule from psycho crazy to sanity mixed with comfortably quietness!  Mimi has been deep into choosing what to live with and what to discard since our return trip to Mesa, Arizona from Benson, Minnesota.  She is a professional rock hound and retired silver jeweler.  My personal battle for good health involving prostate cancer, has so far been a great success!  Mimi has been an absolute angel in helping me through all that I had to face in 2011.  It is so rewarding to have her in my life.  Someone who really fights for my best.  We were married two months ago in a very small ceremony on our back veranda at our Mesa home.  The weather was more than perfect.  I would say, perfecter!?    A week after our marriage Mimi went on a previously scheduled trip to Dubai with her bridesmaid Lucerne.  After a weeks trip she returned with more great memories to share.  Since then, we have enjoyed a wonderful sense of unity including sharing three weeks of colds.  Sniff, sniff and away we went Christmas day to my daughter Shannon's house in Snowflake, Arizona.  Shannon's daughter Leah was also be there.  Leah is "with child" and will make Mimi and I great grandparents in May.  We wanted to rock hunt while there but the weather didn't permit.  It snowed there for three days before our departure (Dah, what else would it be doing in a place called Snowflake?)  We saw more relatives during our time there.  Shannon's main squeeze Bud planned to showed us around and lead us into some new rock hot spots outside Snowflake, but the weather was just too cold with lots of frozen ice.  Shannon's son Cory (15) made the trip up and back with us.  Cory lives with his Dad Craig and step-mom Vanessa in Mesa.  Cory also has a keen eye for music and computers.  He will inherit my electric piano some day and astound the world with song.
We are now home for the New Year and looking forward to doing nothing super heavy in 2012!  Mimi will "occupy" her art studio making some wonderful types of creations and I will be in my "guy" shop tearing apart something important with the high hopes that I don't have to put it back together.  :-(
My sister Pat still lives close by with her husband Bob.  Their new little pup Ben is a real joy in their life.  We are ALL loving cute Benny!
We just took my grandchildren out on a one day 200 mile run to In 'n Out Burgers properly covered with greasy French fries.  Yep, it was so bad it was great!  Cory(15), Levi(15), Riley(13), and Cameron(11) were full of energy and other interesting stuff!  Leah(18) is living in Snowflake with her Mom Shannon(42).  (Can't believe I have a daughter that old!)
Mimi and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all a very happy, prosperous new year crammed full of blessings!   God bless our country and God bless us!    Love,   Fred and Mimi

Hello dear, dear Fred: I am so glad to receive this joyful summation. You sound very happy. Yes, the energy of life has become incredibly fast. We need to jump off and blossom, as you and Mimi have. The kids and I are at Beverly Beach, FLA at our favorite place on the beach. With much love and open arms to dear Mimi.
