Where I stayed
Interesting how the day evolves when the sun is beating down upon ones head slowly melting precious brain cells! Yesterday, I thought I was going to burn up from excessive heat stroke! Today, I looked down at my miles calculator to determine the distance from the beginning of my trip from Mimi's and saw "666". Yikes!!!! I decided to not pay attention because the Great Mystery will call me when HE is ready, not me or what I see. It was only about 100 miles down the road, when I pulled over to check my map. After deciding I was not lost, I slowly pulled on to I80 for Cheyenne, Wy. I'm still on my way to Ft. Collins to visit Millie and Chet. While I was gathering speed, I heard a WACK! Sounded like I ran over a bolt. Not more than three miles down the road, Goldie began to kick back, wabble, and mush! I pulled over just in time to experience my first flat on a motorcycle. It was so sweet. The back tire was really tired
Took about two hours to get a tow to a little place called Sidney, Nebraska. It's a cool little place with lots of stores and night life. (Right) :-) No kidding, it's nice.
The Tow cost was fare and the company just fine. AJ was along to keep his father company. We made it to Sidney in time to get the tires worked on. My bike is in between some huge unidentifiable machines used on farms here. HUGE TRACTORS!!! Glad I don't have to pay for those! Funny thing, while at Mimi's, I had a chance to change both tires. It will be much cheaper here. Interesting how The Mystery works.
You'll see some pictures of AJ, his Dad and truck. Then, some pictures of 21st Century ATV shop. They also work on big farm equipment. Nice people all the way around. Thanks Mystery, you worked it out just perfectly. (But, you knew you were going to, huh?) :-)
