Where I stayed
Denise and John's
Dear Vernae,
Mimi and I took a fun little tour around Benson and then went to the last Art Show before I leave.
The show was called "Powderhorn" and was very pretty; however, it was very, very hot! A local championship softball game was canceled because three players fainted. It was so hot that many patrons did not show up. There are fewer patrons attending art shows right now. I am also thinking there is less expendable income around. People are being very careful and are not quite as free with that extra money.
Took great video panorama of the military burial grounds of Minnesota. It was so astounding. There were almost 200,000 graves in one area. I was taken aback with thanksgiving. The video iss a 360 on a small hill of all the graves. It reminded me that freedom is definitely not free. It brought home so many names of my relatives and friends who have given their lives for this great country so that I may be free to roam this wonderful land. I thank my maker that they have done so and I wish to say a formal "Thank you" to all of these honorable people!
I will leave Minnesota tomorrow with many wonderful memories! What a great state!
Many thanks to Mimi and her gracious hospitality!!!!!
