We decided to go to the Mall Of America today! It's the biggest mall in the USA. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I wanted to take a train ride from the mall, so we did that first. The train ride took us all through Minneapolis and back. I think there's some good pictures of the city. It reminds me of Charlotte, NC because they are so clean and neatly organized.
After the train ride and Mall experience, we went over to Historic Fort Snelling. It was built to protect the very lucrative early settler fur trade. Old forts interest me. Their stories can always be felt as one walks through the barracks. It must have been a very tough time, but, as the tour guide said, they didn't know it because that's all they knew!
It was a light, fun day with Mimi's daughter and granddaughter.
Enjoy the worlds biggest mall!!!!

P.S. We took a day trip down into Wisconsin and I added it to this blog! :-)

Hello there, FrienDerick, First of all, give Mimi my warmest greetings. Glad to see you finally made it to her lovely home and area. Looks as if you're having a great time. I just returned from 11 days with family in Reno and had a blast. The monsoons are spitting here and there but very disappointing so far. Hope you'll be heading home soon! Love, Tink
