Dear Nae,

This was truly a unique experience for me!  The logistics of accomplishing the art show process is nothing to sneeze at.  It requires a gypsy spirit as well as a master planner tenacity.

I was only one day into Minnesota before I found myself going to Brookings, South Dakota.  It's about 2.5 hours away from Bensen.  Just a nice drive south.  I helped with the setup of Mimi's booth and did heavy stuff that men do so well to prove we can still live in a cave.  It was a bit of a challenge the first day due to a leg injury from ridding my bike differently.  (No, NC Mimi I wasn't ridding side-saddle)  I hobbled around like Chester on Gunsmoke, but eventually overcame my issue with some fine wine and great amount of rest behind Mimi's booth.

As you can see by the pictures, it's a BEAUTIFUL park here in Brookings.  The Art show is huge containing high end to low end merchandise.  Hope you can see Mimi's jewelry.  It's fantastic!  The people, the city, and the atmosphere was delightful.  I really enjoyed the music put on my the fair.  Slade Cleaves and his band was here.  They were wonderful at folk and bluegrass music!

  Enjoy!  I did!!!!!  :-)

P.S.  I neglected to mention the excitement of a South Dakota storm!  Yesterday evening, the clouds gathered like a huddle of Indian Warriors.  And then the thunder began.  It was as if a song was being written.  Most of the time in Az, you'll find that lightening happens and then later thunder will follow.  Not so here!  The thunder begins and NEVER STOPS!  It sounds like a fierce engine running.  The thunder was one constant roar for an hour.  I found it fascinating!  (And scary too!)  :-0
