Dear Vernae,
My final ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway came to a quick end.  They were repairing last Winter's major road damage North from Boone and the delays were long.  After dealing with stop and go traffic, I decided to dance!  Boogie, that is...   Away from all the stop and go traffic.  The rest of the day was trying to figure how to get around major highway issues too!  Guess it wasn't meant to be this trip.  Maybe, when I'm 100, like Arnold, I be back!
The really pleasant note came in visiting Lila and Lillian in Boone.  For some weird reason, I believed Boone to be too far away to visit.  It hit me when looking at the map, Dahhhh!   They were right off the parkway.  So, after calling, they were able to meet.  Their place is well off into the wild blue yonder.  Very pretty.  Lots of trees!  I had to park at the bottom of their driveway up the hill.
Goldie Honda doesn't like gravel!!!!   Ant no way.  Then again, I would have been able to see Lillian run down that mountain drive way.  She is FAST AS LIGHTENING!!!!!  Ha!  I was astonished when I saw her run.  Much like Chucks granddaughter Cassidy in Hendersonville.  Sure hope they make it to the Olympics some day!  We could just take first and second!!!  (I'll let Cas and Lilian work that out)  Also, got to meet the new hubby and new addition.  It was fun.
Hope you enjoy the final pictures of The Blue Ridge.  It definitely lived up to its name this time!!!
Love to All,
Fred
