  Dear Nae,
I'm sitting at McDonald's this morning reflecting on several things.  (Couldn't find a close Starbucks!)

Following the development of the human spirit is about the most interesting process in the universe.  Humanity is so ready to condemn before searching for all the available facts.  I suppose it is a human trait that will follow us around until the end of time.  The Great Mystery has brought us so close to a semblance of maturity; however, we must look pretty immature to Him at times. I was thinking about how humanity has pretty much exhausted religious trappings.  We have come to a crossroads that contains only blinking red lights.  We must re-form our lives into something more meaningful without the markings of stiff religious rules before man goes forth to higher levels of understanding.  Religion is great and sorely needed.  It has been a wonderful standard to cling to in times of need, but it is now time for man to grow up.  I suspect The Great Mystery is thinking similar thoughts. My spirit would still be in the same old "blame" or "judgment" routine without the stretches of the book "A New Earth".  I sometimes wonder why these teachings are not included in the Bible somewhere close to the "Personal Improvement" chapters. :-)  The teachings are not to replace our religions so much as to replenish them.  It truly is a scary thing to place ones self in a lonely room and really look at our own needs, wants, desires, wishes, and shortcomings.  Facing our Ego is a frightening, challenging feat.  We will not go further in life until that challenge is met.  The Ego is too strong and has fortified its boundaries where even the deeply religious beliefs will find themselves protecting their own castles with properly constructed moats. We can explain away our behaviors easily with religious "do's" and "dont's"; however, eventually, we will find ourselves necked facing the Creator wondering how to justify our actions.  It is left to me to discover my own direction.  The Creator tells me that I MUST install personal faith to find my answers in life.  Just obeying religious rules will take me only so far.  The rest of my trip will involve stepping away from the railing and facing my true self.  That is: "God in me and me in Him displaying Love".  Knowing and doing are two very separate issues.  Much like love left unsaid is dead.  I have been there.  I know what it is like to play the religious game without personal commitment. Our Creator will defend our right to be stupidly free-even to the last drug, thrill, justification, or any other excuse that allows us NOT to look at ourselves.  Eventually, I must be in charge of my own actions.  It is inescapable.  Our Creator stands by waiting for this evolution in behavior.  Our Maker wishes us to become as He and Love life for what it truly is-A Moment to be Unified both with myself and others.  A time to just BE without excuse!  No religion can port us to that landing.  We must step away and walk on our own power before we can fully experience the power available to us in our Creator.  I know you understand that statement because of your inability to walk.  Walking spiritually in our God is different from walking with feet. One which can cause us to grow with an understanding that moves us still closer to an honest,  truly SPIRITUAL life.  I think we can get there from here.  We have a good chance.  Have a great day dear lady!  I'll be carefully carrying you in my pocket today...

  My love to yours,
