Dear Nae,
There are few things in this world that satisfy the soul like sharing time with family and friends.  Yesterday, I rode as far as Rock Hill, South Carolina and ran into a cloud burst.  I decided that I would sit that one out and write you a short blog.

Then, after ridding another 30 minutes, I arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina and drove straight to my sisters home in down town Charlotte.  It was just like I had good sense!  It had been years since I'd been there, but found it like an old blood hound.  Remember, once I find you, you can't get rid of me!  :-)

On my way in, I noticed that Charlotte was more beautiful than ever.  I was really impressed with how the city looked.  Pictures turned out really nice too.  My younger sister Lynn(17 years) and my older sister's two girls, Kris and Kim, live very near by.  Kim and husband Jeff decided to put on a Sunday gathering that turned out to be such fun!  They have a great yard and a fun spot to party. Kris brought her fiancee Scott.  They look  very happy.  Kris has a dog that looks and acts like Yoda!  He is a riot.  Scott made him dance for a treat.  His little rear-end would wiggle and shake like he was dancing.  I laughed so hard I thought I hurt something!   In the mean time, another turtle showed up.  This time a leather back.  We'll name him Tom the turtle.  Sometimes, they look so intelligent.  I'm thinking he knew more that I did.  Strange.  Got some pictures...

My cousin Roy also showed up.  Roy was the forth most decorated marine in the Viet Nam war.  He's a card.  We are all very proud of him.  I'll be going to visit him in Shelby.  (Hope you're getting all this!)

We spoke of old family times.  I had the opportunity to tell the kids some interesting stories about their Grandmothe Ropp and other family characters such as Great Granny Doster.  She was married to a circuit mule ridding preacher.  Every time Granddaddy Doster came home, they would come up with another baby. (Guess ridding a mule and preaching the Gospel is good for the human well-being)  Well, after the last baby, Granny told him to mount his mule and not turn back.  And that is just what happened!

We laughed a lot and cried a little.  The day was hopelessly wonderful.  We're planning another party this weekend.  In these days of short relationships, it is so comfortable to see all these people loving and caring for each other.  I so love them all.  It made me think of your Mom and how much she loves you.  You know, love unsaid is as good as dead.  So, tell your Mom you love her.  She is a neat, sweet, hard-to-beat lady.  Appreciate her for me with a little pinch and a big kiss!

My Cameria is acting up and I was really worried that I would have to purchase another to blog the rest of our trip.  It just happened that Jeff and Kim had another digital that they freely gave me!!!!  What a blessing.  It meant so much to me.   Thanks Jeff and Kim!!!!

Lynn and I will be playing this week.  We'll do some things we always wanted to do.  One may be going to a Lilly Pad Park with Kim.  That should be fun.  Another will be going to the mountains.
I hope your are keeping up what all these people!
Take care, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

What a great fun party. All the girls look so much alike and like Pat too. Guess that makes sense. Looks like so much fun. Cute little Yoda dog!!
The turtle (Ke'ya) now goes with you on your journey also. This is a great honor from Earth Mother.
Keep having fun and party on Mr. King Burger.
