The next stop was San Miguel de Tucumen. I arrived there at 7 AM on the overnight bus and most taxis refused to take me to the hotel because it is so short of drive, but
it was a 30 minute walk. Tucumen is centered around Plaza Independencia. It has the usual governor's house, cathedral, statues, park and shopping near to it. I had an extra day because I
have been traveling so fast, so I chose to stop here because it was a big city of 750,000, however there is not much to do here. I walked about two miles going to all the major monuments and shopping centers, but it was Sunday today and everything was closed. I did
take another look around about 9 PM and the city is completely different. The cathedral and governor's house is lit up by lights.  There is people playing musical instruments in the park and near the restaurants. I was quite surprised there were so many people out late at night. The restaurant's barely had room to sit and everyone here more than likely had to work the next day. There was a replay of the UFC fight from last night between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans.
That was good to see UFC is going global and also I got to check the wrestling results from the Olympic Trials. I wouldn't really recommend Tucumen as an exciting city or anything.
