So we then moved Thomas to his new home after helping Elaine to move a bed for her (to get the bed and the matresses). I'm allowed to stay in one free bedroom with it's own bath because it's owner hasn't moved in yet - I only have to clean it before I leave. That's a big help so I can get some good sleep.
Finally - I found something. I was only calling Valencia apartments to ask if I moved up in the waiting list (I was number 9 when I applied) and I was told that a spot opened up I have the room! What a relieve!!!! Now this can all start and California was awesome again.
So I had to get the whole paper work done. The only problem is I can't move in before the 15th of September but maybe I can stay at Thomas's until Saturday. We'll see!
Today Thomas went to the bank of America to open up a bank account - I couldn't because I haven't an address in the US yet and that's what you need. We also went grocery shopping and brought the rented car back at the airport of SLO. We wanted to walk the 10km back but Thomas landlord couldn't believe us walking the whole way and picked us up. He was driving us around town and showed us some place to go and we went out for dinner. We looked at the famous Madonna Inn - a hotel with around 200 different decorated rooms, e.g. a cave man room, a blue room, a highway room, ... . All made with a lot of details. But you can't describe it you have to see it - it's really amazing.
And now both relieved because of knowing where to stay we really had fun.
