Siena was sooo cool. We took a short tour of the city and then had some time to explore. They have a huge city center that is sloped like an amphitheater. Twice a year there they have a horse race between seven of the 14 districts in the city. It was so much fun to explore all the different little districts with their own unique crest. It was a very old small Tuscan city that is perfect for a day trip.
San Gimigniano was the second stop for the day. The town still has the original walls up that enclose the small hill top town. They are famous for their multiple towers built throughout the city. A couple of my friends and I hiked up to the top of one where we had the most amazing view of Tuscany. We explored a little and found some kids who we tried to play soccer with but the parents who were supervising weren't so cool with the idea.
All in all it was a day trip I'd love to do again and would recommend to everyone.
