Today's highlight was a kayak trip. We kayak at home but today, our hosts organised the kayaks and everything else we needed for the trip. Four kayaks and Tommy Coyne's boat with outboard motor made up the expedition fleet. The weather was reasonable and the sun poked through occasionally. We had a welcome cup of tea at Dermot and Mary Mellotte's house. And I was able to borrow a dry shirt from Dermot.
In the evening, Kevin, Anne, Robyn and I went to Galway to see a new Enda Walsh play, Penelope,  by Druid at the Town Hall Theatre.
