Day 1.   Left around 9 a.m. and had brfst at a familiar restaurant but new owners.  Cafe 97.
Food was not that good; can't stand home fries that are deep fried like french fries.
Asked for hollandaise sauce on the side and the eggs came drowning in it.  Oh well, they took my plate back; made the changes and we ate our food and were on the way.
Pretty easy driving and following the trip-tix from AAA.  Once we got off the highway and onto Rte 9 it was pretty.  Lots of land and hills.  Stopped at an ice cream shop for delicious huge cones.
Great time with Tommy, many laughs--enjoyable.  Love the excitement of the unknown..so much fun to travel to new destinations!

At the border there was a delay--had to wait about 20 min. before being allowed to cross.
Our B&B was just over the border in St. Stephens.  A 150 year old house.  Amazingly beautiful, with ornate trim, lots of flowers, comfy sitting room and perfect, beautiful guest room on the second floor.

Stopped at info center; got the time & schedule for the "Chocolate Festival" for tomorrow and info on FDR's Campobello Park which we think we'll do on our way home.

After checking in we drove to St Andrews for dinner.  What a charming, waterfront little town.
Filled with shops and people walking about--but not too crowded.  People are SO friendly.
Chose the "Lobster Bay Restaurant" to eat.  It was so crowded but there was one table left for two.  It was filled with home folk; evidently there is a high school reunion going on in town.  We had a Bud light each and the most wonderful lobster roll.  Lobster melted in your mouth.  I had a side salad which was the freshest greens with wonderful dressing on the side: )   So good.  We were hungry.
Place was buzzing, good cheer, good feeling--excellent food.  Great choice!

Returned to B&B just in time for tea & cookies in main parlor.  Sat with the other guests--all from Canada.  One couple from Quebec.  The owner is so accommodating and knowledgeable.  We discussed all PEI attractions and possible areas to stay--as we only booked a B&B only until Wednesday and then we need to find another inn.  So yawn...getting tired.
Will see what tomorrow brings.
