Seven adults and two children sharing a four-bedroom house near the water in northwest Puerto Rico.  It has taken us a few days to get the rules down and stop the intermitent bickering.  All said though we are doing well.  Horseback riding for Frankie, Megan, and Auntie Joyce.  Beach days for all of us.  Getting to know the grandkids (Emelia and Eli) a lot better.
So far, the people here are nice, laid back, lots of smiles.  Not big on service though.  They keep running out of food at the restaurants.  Food has been the biggest problem.  We all are health conscious and the Puertoricans are not.  But we did score a big water melon on the road today.

Anyhow, the beaches are beautiful, but rough.  Good for surfers, not for swimmers.  We have found one nice one...Crashboat Beach...that we like.  So, okay, back to the beach.

Received your blog
Frank: just got a travel blog from you, apparently in PR with your extended family? Nice but what is a travel blog? do you send it to anyone who is a member of this org? Or do you send it just to individuals, like me? Have a great vacation. Art

Crashboat beach???
Hola Muchacho,

I think I'd be careful about swimming at a place called Crashboat Beach --- or is that some kind of Xtreme Sport? Be careful about the meat you eat down there. I read an article in a medical journal not so long ago that said there is no regulation of antibiotics or HORMONES being fed to poultry on PR, and it showed a spate of cases of male children who had subsequently grown breasts. We can't have you coming back to Westerly with Moobs. They would look funny sticking out your bikini top with all that hair. Have fun and enjoy the playa while we freeze out pituttis off!!!!

Gotcha Blog
Pretty good way to stay in touch, this blog. So it's a family thing? That would mean lots of ice (rare in the bars )

I do like Puerto Ricans. A lot. One caveat however. Keep an eye on your stuff. It tends to disappear.

Like I said I do like the PR's, good people. But I kind of know them and would not embarass them by having a stolen piece of mune in their possession

I remember Crashboat
I went surfing in Puerto Rico in 1968. I was 16 and can't imagine how I convinced my parentsto allow it. Anyway, I surfed Crashboat on Christmas Day 1968. I remember it for two reasons. I was the first time I ever got 'barreled' while surfing; that point when the wave breaks and you get inside it and look out. The second reason was that our car got broken into and stole my travlers' checks
