Where I stayed
Yassoo from Greece,
We caught a fast train from Rome to Bari and we got ripped off by a taxi driver who charged us too much money. It should be illegal.
We took an overnight ferry from Bari in Italy to the island of Corfu which is in Greece. On the ferry we had a cabin but I had to sleep on the floor. My family played cards on the ferry. There was a little tug boat that pulled the big ferry and eventually it gave up and we were on our way.
When I first saw Greek words I was wondering what was going on because it didn't look like any other language I had seen. But practically everyone speaks English here. I did learn how to say Hello which is Yassoo and Efkaristo which is thank you.
We are staying near a beach that has pebbles and rocks instead of sand. The water is very clear and good for snorkelling.
Corfu Town has 2 ancient forts and today we went to the Archaelogical Museum where the oldest item was about 6th century B.C. There were a lot of statues there and one giant archaelogical discovery which was from the temple of Artemis and it had a guy with 2 snakes on his belt carved into stone. It cost 3 euro per person to get in but I got in free so it wasn't a rip off like with the taxi driver.
Last night we drove over to the other side of the island and had dinner at a place called Sunset restaurant and watched a beautiful, pink sunset. We got back home at 10pm (obviously I went straight to bed!).
We are going to Athens next and before I leave you I will leave you a photo of what I look like if I was a cartoon.
