Zoomed back to Nairobi - spent over a week in Upperhill - waste of time realy. Only good thing was bought a tent for 4000ksh well happy with that. This also pissed off Heinz the German blob - He was offering me his tent + 4100ksh for said tent.
Heinz says
"This is gut tent, you got gut price, vit is too heavy for u, I give you my tent + 4100ksh . I am very zealous."
Mike says
" NO"
Went to a few night clubs in Nairobi - Mad House and Pavement - the former filled with prostitutes and a few mzungus, the latter filled with economic prostitutes. John has realised the ladies are not interested in him for his rapier wit and good looks.
Actually we nicknamed him John millionaire. Which should come in quiet handy for diverting attention.
Its a real shame as these girls would be stunners in Ireland - sorry girls but as the mesogonist Tom Mc Dermott once wrote " Irish girls - 4 hours in the hairdresser - 15 min in the gym" Discuss answers on a postcard to ( Tom Mc Dermott - Tudor Lawns - Newcastle - Galway.
Richard the owner of Upperhill informed us that the Germans were looking for white boys to be cast in this period drama beig shot in Kenya - how bad could it be?
Ended up getting kitted out for the German movie alright - the bastards had me dressed as an English gentleman - I was told I looked quiet the part - which was both assuring and disconcerting. Thankfuly the shoot was called off. The lead actess (a former German playboy model I might add) fell off a horse. *

Headed off to the Masai Mara on Sunday 8th. First we went to the local masai village.
We took pics - they took $10
They danced - We clapped etc
Was glad to get to the park - came here to see four legged animals not masai with mobile phones.
First off we saw a chetah eating his dinner, Joseph our driver was well cool - he would drive over an elephant to get us our picture.
Saw loads of animals and ran into some famous celebrities also - (view pics)
Drank local beer - made from the sausage tree no less. The fruit itself is poisonous and following the brewing process the resulting beer would appear to be less so. The local Masai treated it like gold dust and was somewhat delighted / amused in sharing his stash. After the initial tasting I was also delighted to share the wealth and duly insisted on everyone having some of the fear factor froth. The 2nd glass however was more difficult to stomach and the splosh of beer hitting the bottom of glass was swiftly followed by the splash of said liquid hitting earth . PURE DUCKS PISS
We stayed in Banda accomadation on the first night and on the 2nd night I used my tent - this was neat as it made you feel even closer to nature.Although I felt a little worried that the Massai guard (my beer buddy) would be less than enthusastic about helping me out of any lions grasp.

From the Mara we went North East to Lake Nakuru - aka the Flamingo lake - this place was awesome as the lake shore is covered by a pink sea of flamingo's. With Buffalo and Zebra only a stones throw away and the fantastic views of the park from atop Baboon cliff. I was nearly speachless

After 3 days of filling my visual senses with lovely shit - head back to Nairobi - Upperhill - the swedes and other guests are surprised and delighted to see me back - I am equally surprised and less than enthused - spending too much time in Nairobi - sure its only for 1 night
