After a very good nights sleep, being spoilt by a soft sleeper, we arrived in shenzhen. With little knowledge of the city, we were surprised to enter a tropical metropilys. Hot and humid but bearable after -25! With the helping hand of a frappachino, we marched onto to find a net cafe to sort out a place to stay. The hostel and teh area we were staying at was cool, with a relaxed holiday feel to it. We ventured down the  perfect tree lined streets to grab some dinner in the evening next to the park.

Today we gandered to the post office to off load some of our winter wear to slim down our bags.  In dire need of some summer wear we went to a massive shopping area, which had an exciting vibe, mix of chinease music blaring out the shops and loads of people, was like a  massive TK max! Shopping in china was interseting as the girls are like twigs, so we had are eyes on elasticated waiste bands! we emerged victrotious. After previous mental  days we headed back for a well deserved rest.

Today had a gander around the OCT loft, which was an art area around where we were staying, it was cool and had a 798 feel to it, where we went in beijing. We spent hours on a wild goose chase trying to sort out bus tickets to Nanning, but eventually succeeded. We spent the afternoon wondering. Zo and Fi spent 3 hours getting lost around Shenzhen trying to find the metro which was actually  just round the corner from where they started off! However lots of sights were seen and taking in the city atmosphere. Kel and Han meandered through peoples park, which holds five hundred different species of roses, which made for a spectacular site. Headed down to cultural park which couldnt have been more different based around a mini theme park. We again became a local attraction with locals taking photos of us (cake face). Had a few drinks with an old man (who after several drinks turned into a dirty old man as Zo found out), Fi and Zo continued to drink into the night with a mix of people and various chinease spirits.

Today we spent the day looking at  various art and design galleries which were really intereseting, getting our last china desaign fix before entering vietnaam. Fi, feeling a bit fragile from the night before headed off to bed for an early night whilst the others spent the evening having some beers.

Today we chilled at the hostel, drawing and reading whilst we waited for our sleeper bus to Nanning. The sleeper bus was like the night bus off of harry potter, bunk beds that were surprisingly comfortable, if not a little short for our british legs!
