Had a few hours of chill time in the room before we made a move which was good as me and Lauren where in excruciating pain from the climb/walk yesterday.
Managed to get ourselves and our bags down the stairs after a lot of screaming and whinging as our legs didn't want to move.
Got in our taxi and headed on our way, would be a great road to drive its all windey, we had Mr twitchey the taxi driver which was a little freaky, he kept going up and down in his seat the whole time, and accelerating coming up to cornors and slowing down on the straights, gets to a point when you just want to take over and drive yourself. Got to the town and the taxi driver drove into another taxi area, saying you can get taxi from here, WHAT no you can take us, cheeky git, he didn't have a clue where he was going so had to stop and ask directions but ended up getting us where we wanted to be eventually, they really will try every trick in the book, if we had got out and into another taxi it would have cost a fortune as we where still miles away from the actual place.
We went with a hotel out of the rough guide book, big mistake, it was a dump and that would be the nicest way of putting it, the actual room was fine to look at from a distance which I think Phil had when he went and checked it, the beds had bugs on them, the aircon unit worked but was in bits, the floor was black like it had never ever been cleaned, and the bathroom was the worst, the shower which none of us used was a hose, there wasn't a sink, the toilet when flushed leaked over the floor, and the toilet was just disgusting no human would sit on that! The reception people where pretty un helpful, although we did manage to get a smile out of them after a few hours and the tv we had didn't even work and when asked she just waved her hand at us, nice a!?
We managed to get some sleep and as it was only one night we could cope but definitely would not recomend and rough guide need to sort it out, nobody should be even notified of this place's existance.
The place had absoultley nothing going for it, no normal shops, just a random KFC so just had lunch and dinner in there, all in all not a very nice place but still, at least we got to see a little town and the scenery which was pretty cool.
Glad to be leaving even though it will be horrible early in the morning!!!!
