5 years and 5 stars!
Woke up a bit late but super tired so couldn't be bothered to move, Phil went out telling me ligitimate reasons on where he was going and why, with me none the wiser to his plotting!
A little while later after breakfast we made a move, in a rickshaw Phil began to be a bit secretive about where we where going telling me we where just changing rooms for the sake of saving a few dollars I was not impressed, wasn't quite sure if he was up to something or not.
As we where going down the street the tuk tuk stared going right into a hotel and Phil just said five star not five dollars.
So to my surprise he had booked us into a five star hotel for a night for our five year mark, was quite strange pulling up to the entrance in a tuk tuk with our grimy backpacks and looking like tramps, they still treated us like we had dressed for the occasion, freezing towels, a flower bracelet, and a cold weird drink that tasted like flowers, after a while they showed us to our room. Wow...!
I think Phil is rather pleased with himself the fact that I had absoultly no clue what he had been up to.
Walked to get a few bits from the shop then headed to the big amazing pool.
Once we had got a bed they brought over iced water some more towels and a fruit stick, Yum Yum
The pool was amazing just perfect, ordered some lunch which was brilliant, so tasty.
It decided to start raining as we were just finishing our lunch so had to run to the hotel, after a while of being in the room there was a knock at the door, the porter came in and put down some cakes, they also where amazingly taste, free too so result!
The day has decided to stay misserable but we don't mind we have wine a huge tv and the confortablist bed in the universe!
Went for dinner in one of the many restaurants had the same as lunch, very good again, got back to our room to find someone had been in there they had tidyed the room and turned the bed down, not use to all this!
Very nice day and night had a lovely time, very nice treat!
Day 157 ;
Had plans to make a move today...they evaporated into thin air!! The only move we did was from the hotel, unfortunately we couldn't afford any more nights luxury!! Headed back, found a guesthouse with a river view which was great, watched a big storm roll in along the river and pretty much just fed our faces!!
