Day 114;

Today we took off on our bikes and went to see the sights, the bikes really are the best way to get around you can ride right up to everything and go through the markets so lots of short cuts, we saw the old ruins and all sorts.

The rest of the surroundings were just amazing beautiful architecture and design was everywhere. We also saw another lying down concrete buddha were people all pray and pay to put a robe like material over the statue.
We picked a few other temples of the map and rode around seeking them out - had our bearings after getting a little lost yesterday but all part of the fun. Like kids again zipping around on our beat up old bikes with shopping baskets on! Nice to have the feeling of freedom again, not relying upon a tuk tuk or a bus or whatever.

We saw an elephant show which was cool, and cruel all at once but the elephant is such an amazing animal that just being near it is cool, they even at one point where lined up , four or five swaying side to side with the music, while some were washed and cooled off ready take out the next lot of customers, while baby elephants put on a show in the containment next door, it was all going on!! Must of been 20 or more there.

sat in one of the parks for a couple of hours, saw one guy rig up his own hammock off the trees - want one!

Also saw the first of our many monsoon rains, over pretty quick and we had seen it coming and got hack to drop off the bikes, although at the time wouldn't of cared less if we had, who would of thought that we would miss the rain ay.....!!
All in all a good day even though I had a sore butt!
On the train tonight so let's see how different it is!
