On the plane watched 127hours, and due date - which was effing hilarious - and into Bangkok early. We were outside within twenty minutes. didn't get searched once, had been expecting trouble coming here but nothing?

Driving into Bangkok at night was cool, everything lit up, nearly all of the motorway seemed to be up in the air, built above everything, NO HORNS, normal driving, shiny new cars everywhere, motorways that looks like ours, shiny new buildings and hardly a bit of litter anywhere.

Felt a bit weird, what they call a culture shock I guess, hasn't even properly set in yet - that we are here.

Haven't been surrounded by this many white people since back home, a busy weekend in chichester or something, really weird, doesn't feel right and you almost want to just go back to your room away from it!

Late dinner and sat writing these while Claire starts reading The White Tiger - thought we better save that until we left India.
