Day 61 ;

Got talking to a Spanish couple just before we left, always the way just as you leave you can bet you'll meet people but you can't stay forever and we're bound to bump into them again they're on the same route so will contact them.

 Got a taxi this morning could not deal with the bus today, got to Morjim and yes its worth stopping here, they seem to have a shorter season than other places so ideal for us, a good amount of people here, the beach is beautiful and we got an entire apartment for...six pound fifty a night.... just  back from the beach, a front room with sofa and tv, huge bed, kitchen, gas camping type cooker but the people are a little strange, bit of an uneasy feeling so we will move to the huts.

Travel  guide we have doesn't really give alot of info but everything you could need is here, loads of accommodation, huts, rooms etc, restaurants cafes - all at good prices, internet, money exchanges but no atm, so if your looking for a quiet beach you could do worse than to come here, leaf huts right on the beach!

The main and most important reason we have come here though is of course the kitesurfing, and it is here!!! sorted ourselves a course of four days beginner which at the end of we get certified to level one or whatever so we are a little excited about tomorrow!!

Day 62 ;

 Went back out to the little shops and bought noodles pasta tea and all that so we can really skimp on the spending, so tight but what to do!!!

 First lesson today, four and a half hours learning theory, the safety side, flying the trainer kite and also rigging and first little practice with the big bertha, and nothing but nothing can prepare you for the power of the wind, and today was only light!  you think you've kind of got the hang of it with the trainer which is fine, then you get harnessed to a BIG kite and he hangs on to you while you get pulled around, thrown around, lifted off the ground, dragged along the ground and pretty much just panic! hopefully tomorrow will bring progress! we might of thought staring down a mountain for the first time or the speed of wakeboarding makes your adrenaline go, but nope they were pretty mild in comparison to this!! the strength of the wind if you get it wrong is something else.

Claire decided to play David Attenborough with the ants we had in our room, started to feed them bugs she had killed, then we watched as they stripped it down, took off the wings and legs, then literally carried the body two metres vertically up a wall and force it into their hole, doesn't sound it, but pretty impressive to watch and if we could upload the video you would see!

Day 63 ;

Lesson number two! and we moved to the huts!!

stupidly we took our bread with us and left it wrapped up in a blanket in our room and when i returned alone i had a serious fight on my hands and being with red ants i was getting bitten, i put it down on the step which the dog took most of but left a few bits, when we came back later, there was a trail right up the stairs, right across our floor, hundreds of them all working to bring up the bread, we got bitten some more!

Not much wind today,  but still managed to nearly lose the kite, something wasn't connected properly on the safety line so when I released the first one its just ripped it undone and flew away.

We did the self landing test and the self rescue and pack down in water,  and just messed around with the trainer kite practicing the launch technique and the flying positions hope for more tomorrow...
