Our plan this morning was to go to the beach and then go to A.B's. Unfortunately, when I woke up, the sky was grey and the weather was cold. We spent the morning in the house, reading and on the computer. When A.B arrived she suggested that we go to Saint Jean De Luz. We walked around the town for a bit, stopping in a few stores and buying some stuff. Saint Jean De Luz is a very cute town, with classic french architecture and A LOT of people wandering around.
I know it's going to sound pathetic, but by the time we finished with this one town, it was dinner time (mostly because we'd spent so much of the day at home, not because we spent so much time in town...). :)
Anyway, Emma remembered this restaurant with amazing mussels from the last time she was here. A.B figured out which place Emma was talking about and we drove straight there. The sky had brightened up a bit, so the fact that the place was on the beach was excellent. The mussels were AMAZING! They were perfectly flavored, a little spicy, and they came with crispy french fries that were also amazing! We got to eat this delicious food and watch the sun sort of peek out from behind the clouds as it started to set over the Atlantic. Incredible!
Although, we had planned to go to the fete, by the time we finished dinner, we decided that we wanted to swim in A.B's pool. A.B drove us back to Urt, where we all changed into our suits and went for a wonderful but cold swim. After that we all showered and then watched three episodes of CSI before going to sleep. :)

Sounds like one very beautiful, special day - glad you girls have the opportunity to enjoy such joy!
I'm back in the city, where the heat has decreased a bit and the humidity, considerably.
Awaiting your return ...LOVE, PEACE

Hello all! Greetings from NY. I just wanted to say hello and let you know what a huge smile reading about your adventures has put on my face. I have not been around email too much this summer but I have absolutely loved catching up on your where-abouts whenever I can!

What an incredible trip it sounds like you are having! Wow! It sounds like this is something none of you will ever forget. You are all so lucky to be able to have this moment to share such an amazing experience with one another.

Your stories and pictures really paint a beautiful picture of what you are seeing and doing. Hannah your voice in the writing is so strong, funny, and honest. It makes me feel like I are there with you all. If there is a way to print or save this blog, it would be an incredible travel journal for you to keep for the future.

I am so glad to hear that everyone is trying new things, seeing new sites, spending time with family and friends, laughing, meeting new people, getting to know each other better, and learning about yourselves. Yes, cheesy teacher talk... I couldn't help myself! : )

OK - I hope your next set of days has many more exciting things in store for you. I look forward to reading all about them... I must admit, I am a little jealous of all that you are doing and seeing. It's definitely makes me want to travel back to Europe and visit these sites!

All my best. Thinking of you. Take care of each other and have fun!
Ms. M
