Today, A.B took us to Spain! That's right, the four of us have now been to our third country for this trip! We brought Louis (again spelling might be off), who, from what we can tell, is somehow related to the Valentin's who we are staying with, and who is about our age. On our way, we stopped by a little jewelry store which Emma had been to two years ago (anyone who has seen the simple, but beautiful blue bracelet with the white stone on it, that always adorns Emma's wrist has seen their handy work). The store was closed for lunch so we sat in a little bar to watch the Tour de France (which A.B had the waitress turn on). When the store opened the four of us rushed in and marveled at all the wonderful jewelry. The owner, an elderly man, spoke some english, while the slightly younger woman working with him, did not really speak any. Despite this we all managed to purchase our items relatively smoothly, although they make the bracelets (like the one Emma had) on request so we had to wait while he made all seven of the ones I asked for... :)
After this, we drove into St. Sabastian! We parked in an underground parking structure and heading up to see the city by the sea. I hadn't realized how close we were to the ocean until I stepped out of the parking structure and suddenly smelled the ocean air. When I looked down the block there seemed to be no end because ahead of us, the ocean stretched out forever. We wandered around for a bit and then A.B asked if we were hungry, we were. A.B took us to a little restaurant which had plates of sandwiches sitting on the bar. A.B. told us to simply pick up what we liked and show the man behind the bar what we were taking. Colleen and I had omelette sandwiches (basically eggs and potato in bread) and Emma and Adora both got meat sandwiches. After this we wandered around some more, going into a few stores and seeing more of the beauty of Spain.
Soon A.B and Louis were hungry and so we went to another restaurant, Ganbara. This one also had several options laid out on plates on the bar. A.B. ordered fish (sardines or anchovies, i can't remember) that is apparently a special of Spain, as well as, some delicious sauteed mushrooms! Other than things with pork in it, which Colleen and I did not eat, everyone tried everything. Soon we walked  to another place with the same set up (options of food on the bar) which apparently is a very popular style in Spain/St. Sabastian. There we met up with more friends, Oliver and his girlfriend, Kelsey (who are about our age and are from the States to). After that place we stopped at one more place like it, a seafood place this time, although Colleen and I, both very full by then stayed outside.
Finally, we walked to a large square where, apparently, they used to have bull fights. We could sit down there and we sat for a long time talking, in French and English. Oliver and Kelsey can both speaking French and Louis couldn't speak very much English. Kelsey was very concerned with keeping everyone in the loop which was very nice.
Oliver, it turns out, lives on the same street as me but farther down, and Kelsey's father grew up in a town in India, which I visited on my trip last year.
When it was finally time to drive back, we said "odios" to Oliver and Kelsey and were on our way, stopping for some ice cream (cookie flavored!). On the drive home Louis was very interested in sharing his music with us and so most of the way, Emma was listening to his MP3 player and enjoyed his music greatly.
At home, we finished the X-Men movie we started last night and went to sleep. :)

Glad you got to Spain!
Did you have the opportunity in your conversations with the youth to learn about their concerns and interests?
What is their music like? What musical artists do we share in common?
Adora, Colleen, Emma and Hannah (alphetical) - am missing you!
LOVE, PEACE!
